- There are two sides to the problem. Several people here have noted one - that the city prefers the meters to expire, because they make more money from fines. The other "dirty little secret" here is that the parking enforcement officers have quotas to meet.

- Let's see -- a price increase of .24 per 100 lbs translates to less than 1/10 of 1 cent per burger. And they're saying they can't absorb that? Angus burgers and Chicken Selects were the only halfway decent food on McD's menu, and now they're both gone. Goodbye McD's.
